Part-Time Pattern Maker
We’re looking for a skilled & detail-oriented Pattern Maker to work closely with our design and production teams to bring our garments to life. This role is perfect for someone who understands fit, form and function (& enjoys translating creative ideas into well-constructed, production-ready patterns). You’ll play a key role in ensuring our pieces are consistent, scalable & beautifully made, while maintaining the integrity of the brand’s aesthetic.
What You Need To Know
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify and refine patterns based on design sketches, reference garments and fit notes.
- Develop production-ready patterns for sampling and bulk production.
- Grade patterns accurately across size ranges.
- Work closely with TIE team and seamstress during fittings and revisions.
- Make adjustments based on fit sessions and feedback.
- Ensure patterns align with fabric choices, construction methods and cost considerations.
- Maintain organised pattern files.
- Support the development of new silhouettes and seasonal collections.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Pattern Maker (minimum 2 year work experience).
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fit.
- Experience with pattern grading and size consistency.
- Ability to interpret design concepts and technical requirements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting agreed timelines.
- Familiarity with manual pattern making methods (digital pattern-making would be considered a bonus).
- Knowledge of local production processes.
- Experience working on ready-to-wear collections.
- Ability to advise on construction efficiencies and fit improvements.
